One of the most beautiful bamboo needles I have knitted with. Their needle tips are deliciously sharp, and the bamboo feels amazing on the hands. The 24" Dark Bamboo Fixed Circular Knitting Needles are high-quality and have fantastic joins and pliable, clear nylon cables. They have a nickel-plated, copper join that guarantees smoothness. Sizes 3 (3.25 mm) and larger are crimped to guarantee no separation, and they swivel! The smaller sizes, US 0 (2 mm) through US 2.5 (3 mm), have the same memory-free cable as the ChiaoGoo RED circulars and TWIST cables! Needle size is permanently laser imprinted on each circular. WHY WE LOVE IT — Incredibly lightweight, strong birchwood, natural, artisanal, design that prevent stitch slippage and ensures effortless movement of yarn
CONTENT — 100% Birch Wood
High-quality wooden needles will naturally become slicker with use (from the lanolin in wool and oil from knitters’ hands). If needed, it is a good idea to clean with muslin or shammy. I do not recommend using beeswax since I have not personally tested this theory on these products; therefore, cannot say with certainty that it works or that it will not damage the hooks.
I also suggest to keep them in their case when you are not using them, out of extreme temperatures and direct sunlight - too much heat will make the smooth finish dull.
Lastly, I also do not advise using any lotions on your hands while using the hooks - certain chemicals react with the wood, causing the finish to become dull very quickly.
