The Nike Air Foamposite One NRG Galaxy first emerged in 2011. A Nike and Air Jordan executive wore the sneaker to an event that featured an appearance from Anfernee Penny Hardaway, who helped popularize the Foamposite in the 1990s. It was released the following year as part of Nike’s 2012 All-Star collection. This particular Foamposite was a space-themed sneaker that had a galaxy on its signature Foamposite upper.
