Proctor & Gamblen (1960's). 3.5 x 2.25 Inches. Soap Condition: Fine. Box Condition: Very Good.
"In 1893, a bar soap formulated with volcanic pumice particles for extra scrubbing power was created in St. Louis, Missouri. Lava was chosen as the name to remind consumers of the pumice it contains. In 1927, Procter & Gamble acquired the Lava and Oxydol brands from William Waltke Company."
I've always loved the design of Lava soap of this era. Something about the black & red color scheme and the silhouette of a volcano, they combine to create this brilliant object from a branding and advertising perspective. I'm offering eight of these for sale in the hopes that there's some other weirdos like me wutj a strange affinity for this boxed soap.
Each of the eight boxes are in very good condition. Some superficial wear, but all the boxes are firmly constructed and look great. Each of the soap bars are wrapped in the original instructional pamphlet. I cannot promise the condition of the pamphlets, however, as their proximity to soap may have damaged it like the one in the gallery. Remove from soap more carefully than I did.
