Learn the art of linocut landscape printmaking with our complete materials kit and video tutorial. Learn from expert Aftyn Shah as you explore linoleum block carving to build beautiful landscape art.
Our linocut workshop explores linoleum block carving in order to build beautiful landscape art through a relief printmaking process. Along with a digital workshop, artist Aftyn Shah has curated a kit of tools and materials for linocut that she uses in her own studio practice. Your linocut kit will feature a beautifully fibrous bookmaking paper in various natural tones and an ergonomic hand carving v-tool. The tool, made from US carbon tool steel and white birch hardwood, is hand forged, polished, and sharpened by 3rd generation family craftsmen at U.J.Ramelson. Located in the New England area, U.J. Ramelson has collaborated with us to build a full set of American-made carving tools for further exploration, learn even more below.
With these expertly crafted materials and the guidance from Aftyn’s experience, we hope you find wonder as you create a block print piece that speaks to the wanderer within you.
