Making%20our%20Shea%20Butter%20Lotion%3A%0AHere's%20what's%20included%20in%20your%20kit%3A%0A%0ASweet%20Almond%20Oil%0ASilky%20Emulsifying%20Wax%0AShea%20Butter%0AStearic%20Acid%0AOptiphen%0AMacadamia%20Nut%20Oil%0AVitamin%20E%20Oil%0ARed%20Da%20Bomb%20Soap%20Dye%0APink%20Beaches%20Fragrance%20Oil%0A4-8%20ounce%20Jars%20with%20Lids%0A%0AOther%20Ingredients%20%26amp%3B%20Equipment%20You'll%20Need%3A%20Distilled%20Water%2C%20Mixing%20Bowl%2C%20Stainless%20Steel%20Spoon%2C%20Stovetop%2C%20Pots%20(2)%2C%20Stick%20Blender%2C%20Spatula%2C%20Scale.%0AIntstructions%3A%0A%0AWeigh%20out%20at%20least%20850%20grams%20of%20distilled%20water.%20While%20you%20will%20not%20need%20quite%20this%20much%2C%20some%20will%20evaporate.%20It%20is%20better%20to%20have%20too%20much%20than%20not%20enough.%20Place%20the%20water%20into%20a%20pot%20and%20place%20the%20pot%20on%20the%20stove%20top.%20Heat%20your%20water%20to%20at%20least%20180F.%20You%20want%20to%20keep%20the%20water%20at%20this%20temperature%20for%2020%20minutes.%20The%20heat%20will%20destroy%20any%20bacteria%20that%20is%20in%20the%20water.%20Now%2C%20remove%20the%20water%20from%20the%20heat%20source.%20Then%2C%20weigh%20out%20706%20grams%20of%20distilled%20water.%0ANext%2C%20in%20a%20small%20pot%2C%20weigh%20out%20all%20of%20the%20following%20ingredients%3A%20Stearic%20Acid%2C%20Silky%20Emulsifying%20Wax%2C%20Sweet%20Almond%20Oil%2C%20Macadamia%20Nut%20Oil%2C%20and%20Shea%20Butter.%20In%20a%20second%20larger%20pot%2C%20add%20a%20few%20inches%20of%20tap%20water.%20Now%2C%20place%20the%20larger%20(water)%20pot%20on%20the%20stove%20top%20over%20medium%20heat.%20Place%20your%20smaller%20pot%20into%20the%20larger%20pot%20to%20create%20a%20double%20boiler.%20Melt%20and%20heat%20your%20cream%20ingredients%20to%20140F%2C%20stirring%20occasionally%20as%20they%20are%20melting.%0AOnce%20both%20your%20water%20and%20oils%20are%20at%20about%20140F%2C%20place%20them%20both%20into%20a%20deep%20mixing%20bowl.%20Use%20your%20stick%20blender%20to%20blend%20mix%20them%20together.%20As%20you%20are%20mixing%2C%20you%20will%20notice%20the%20mixture%20will%20turn%20white.%20This%20means%20your%20lotion%20is%20starting%20to%20emulsify.%0ANow%2C%20allow%20your%20mixture%20to%20cool%20to%20120%20degrees%20Fahrenheit.%20Once%20the%20temperature%20of%20the%20cream%20has%20cooled%20to%20this%20temperature%2C%20add%20the%20Optiphen%2C%20Vitamin%20E%20Oil%2C%20Red%20Da%20Bomb%20Soap%20Dye%2C%20and%20PInk%20Beaches%20Fragrance%20Oil.%20Again%2C%20use%20your%20stick%20blender%20to%20mix%20your%20ingredients%20together.%20As%20your%20lotion%20cools%2C%20it%20will%20thicken.%20You%20will%20want%20to%20stick%20blend%20periodically%20as%20the%20cream%20is%20cooling.%20Finally%2C%20once%20the%20lotion%20reaches%20room%20temperature%2C%20place%20it%20in%20your%20jars%20and%20place%20lids%20on%20top.%0A%0AYour%20shea%20butter%20lotion%20is%20now%20ready%20to%20use!
