Use Super Cerium Oxide lapidary polishing compound on your pads or buffs. To use this polish, make a nice slurry by mixing the polish with either water, mineral oil (like Roc-Oil) or a 50-50 oil and dishwashing detergent mixture. Cerium Oxide is one of the best all-purpose polishes available and is available in two grades which may have similar names to Standard and Super. Both polishes are considered optical grade Cerium Oxide. Cerium oxide is a mined product and the color of both products may vary between white, tan, yellow, pink or brown. Packaged in a convenient square French shaker jar for controlled application to buffs or slurries, contains ~4oz polish. Super Cerium Oxide is one of the best polishes available. This Cerium Oxide can be used with a hand pad for light surface cleanup, powered hand devices for scratch and surface repair, mechanized scrubbers in mirror silvering lines, or as the final polishing step in multi-stage edging and beveling equipment. How to mix: Measure out the proper proportions of heated water (at least 80F/30C) and Cerium Oxide into a container and mix thoroughly. Slurry temperature should be maintained between 90F and 105F (32C and 40C) for optimum performance.
