Description

The Purple Heart is America’s oldest military decoration. It was originally established on August 7, 1782 by General George Washington who designed the original award called the “Badge of Military Merit.” The Badge of Military Merit was awarded for singularly meritorious action to a deserving hero of the Revolutionary War. This prestigious honor is awarded to any member of the Armed Forces of the United States or to any civilian national of the United States, while serving under competent authority in any capacity with one of the U.S. Armed Forces, since April 1917 has been wounded, killed, or who has died or may die of wounds received from an opposing enemy force while in armed combat or as a result of an act of international terrorism or being a Prisoner of War. This ribbon is worn on Army and Air Force uniforms with Bronze, Silver Oak Leaf Clusters, and on Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard uniforms with Gold, Silver Star devices. All ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. Purple Heart Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.

Click here to purchase attachments for your Purple Heart Ribbon
Click here to purchase a holding bar for your Purple Heart Ribbon

#html-body [data-pb-style="6540C9EBA4676"]{justify-content: flex-start; display: flex; flex-direction: column; background-position: left top; background-size: cover; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-attachment: scroll; border-style: none; border-width: 1px; border-radius: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 10px;}#html-body [data-pb-style="6540C9EBA4684"]{border-style: none; border-width: 1px; border-radius: 0px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;}
