3 Polisher I got really excited when I first heard RUPES was coming out with this iBrid MINI Polisher. I’ve been a RUPES guy for years, which is why we carry many of their polishers and pads in the store. When Jason (from RUPES) came down to OGHQ to show us this thing, I had a chance to get my hands on it and use it on the E36. I love how well-balanced it is, especially for a battery-operated polisher. RUPES is one of those companies that takes innovation seriously. Those who know me know that I am big on cutting-edge technology and companies that aren’t afraid to reinvent or per-fect something that currently exists. This polisher exemplifies superb craftsmanship, with the user experience as a top priority. You’ll love how ergonomic this thing is. As I was holding it, I first noticed how it doesn’t beat up your hands like some of the other polishers on the market will do. What I mean by that is less vibration. I had complete control of this polisher without experiencing any hand fatigue. Outside of ergonomics, the other highlight of having this thing is the iBrid technology. This polisher can run on either battery or corded power. I like how we have the option to choose between one of the two. Per RUPES, “performance is identical regardless of power source.” This thing has lithium-ion battery cells (18V 2.5Ah) with LED indicators to show the charge level. RUPES states that a full charge allows for between 35 and 45-minutes of continuous operating time. I can confirm that - I was able to use it for that length of time without noticing any reduction in output. If you want a cordless operated polisher that features a 12mm and Ø75mm (3-inch) backing plate for maneuverability and precise control, I suggest you grab this one.
