International supplier of books, tools and supplies for calligraphy, illumination, and bookbinding.
S998. SpectraFix Non-Aerosol Fixative. Use this non-toxic, pump-spray, workable fixative on non-waterproof inks, watercolors, gouache, pastels, colored pencil, and graphite. Use for envelope jobs, to protect fragile artwork, and to allow you to add layers to a non-waterproof base. Dries to a clear, matte finish. Because it is nontoxic, you can use it safely indoors (though it is not recommended for use by children). Finally, an alternative to toxic aerosol fixatives! Uses art-grade milk casein, water, and alcohol – which rapidly dry, leaving a thin, protective film of casein. Both bottles are fine mist (pump) sprayers.
