Steel Shot is produced from high carbon steel that is melted and subsequently atomized by pouring streams of molten steel through high pressure water jets The shots are then homogonised by reheating and then refined by quenching. The shots are then dried and reheated in a tempering furnace. Finally the shots are screened into the appropriate grades. Steel Shot is manufactured to a very high standard to ensure uniform hardness, density and microstructure.
